Compare room-booking data with accurate foot-traffic for an understanding of how bookable rooms are used.  

  • Measure meeting room utilization
  • Measure utilization vs. bookings
  • Identify and measure inefficient booking behavior
  • Determine which meetings were booked but unattended

Note: Density does not store calendar events on Density servers. Calendar event data is requested on your behalf when the page loads and is used to generate the reports.

Setup Process

At a high level, the workflow is:

  1. Create a Robin Powered API token
  2. Add your Robin API Token and Organization to the Density Integrations page
  3. Map your Robin Powered space to a Density space
  4. Visit the 'Meetings' page of the space you want to view

Step 1: Creating a Robin Powered API Token

Visit the Robin Powered Dashboard and click 'Manage' on the top navigation bar.

Click "Integrations" from the left-hand menu and scroll to the bottom of the page to the 'API Tokens' section.

Click "+ Generate new token" and give it a name like "Density Integration Token." Save that API token. You'll need it soon.

Next, you'll need your organization username. Click "Organization" from the left-hand menu.

Copy the the Organization username and save it too.

Step 2: Add your Robin API Token and Organization into the Density Integrations page

Head to Density's Dashboard Integrations page.

Click "Activate" on the Robin Powered row. 

Paste in your Robin API Token and Organization username. Click 'save.'

Step 3: Map your Robin Powered space to a Density space

Now that you have your Robin Powered account linked to Density, you can map Robin spaces with Density spaces.

Follow this tutorial to link the spaces together.

Step 4: Visit the 'Meetings' page of the space you want to view 

Visit the Spaces Page and select the "Meetings" tab to visualize your room-booking data. 


Note: The meetings tab only shows up for spaces that have been given the space function "conference room" or "meeting room."
